Fill All The Cups

Damn it feels good to be back home…
I’m just so damn excited for what’s to come, and I’ve never felt this much of a strong sense of gratitude and appreciation for myself and what I’ve created thus far in my life.
Spending time with Jesse Elder in Austin was truly life-changing…
The pure free-flowing judgment-free conversation gave me so much to think about, and has really helped solidify who I’m trying to become.
But more than anything, it’s got me charged up for the future.
Jesse and I worked on creating a vision for all areas of my life…
And then he helped me see how one part of my vision helps fuel all parts of the vision.
I think for the majority of my conscious life, from 17 onward, I had the philosophy that once I get money, then I’ll have enough free time to get romance…
Or once I get money, then I’ll have enough free time to get a good group of friends…
It’s a philosophy that you can’t fill all the cups of life (money, relationships, community, fitness, spirituality, etc.) at once in your life, you need to prioritize one over the others.
But I can see how this paradigm has been holding me back.
Because the focus is on filling one cup, not filling all the cups at the same time.
The people who say it’s impossible to fill all the cups of life more than likely only have a few cups filled.
But there are people who have all cups filled, and they’ll tell you it’s very possible.
What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.
So why would you not believe that it’s 100% possible to fill all the cups simultaneously?
When I’ve focused on just filling the money cup, and then going to go fill the other cups, I’ve ran into one big problem…
The money cup has a hole in it…
And that hole is me being a boujee bitch with people like my friend Stefan and wanting to go have dinner at Nobu and buy YSL boots.
Or wanting to go spend some time with my good friend Dimitri in Miami, spend $300 on cigars and liquor one night, and hit up a different 5-star restaurant every night…
So once I go and focus on filling the other cups, like spending time with friends or romance or fitness, then the money/business cup starts to leak, and all of a sudden it’s not so full.
Now sure, you could say, “Nick, you don’t need to spend like that” and I agree partially with that, I do need to save more and I’ve been doing that…
But I also really like being a boujee bitch.
Abundance feels amazing.
What I think is a more effective strategy is not trying to focus on filling one cup in the absence of filling all the other cups…
It’s to focus on filling one cup because it adds to all the other cups, and also realizing that while certain cups may get more of my time or attention than others…
I can choose to view it in a way that the filling of one cup, fills all the others.
I make more money, and that allows me to afford badass experiences for me and a lovely lady…
I focus on working out more and my body serves as one of the best credibility pieces for anyone who wants to do business with me, which then makes me more money…
I go and invest in a mastermind where I can connect with more like-minded business owners and I have amazing conversations with new friends who expand my spiritual worldview…
It’s only slightly different than the way I was thinking before, but that slight difference can make all of the difference in my results for life.
If I focus on filling one or two cups and then filling all the others down the road, I’ll have one or two full cups and all of the others will be empty.
If I focus on how filling any cup fills all of my other cups, I’ll be able to fill them all together in synchronicity.
What we focus on, we create.
