Hi, Nice To Meet You.

You don’t know me all that well, but you do know some of the people I’ve worked for…
People like Jordan Belfort (The Wolf Of Wall Street), Alex Jones, and even Caitlyn Jenner…
I’ve been a ghostwriter for big celebrity names like these and then a ton of smaller influencers for about 5 years now.
And as cool of a job as it may seem…
It requires A LOT from me mentally.
I mean imagine it like this…
You have to write 4000-word scripts for 3 different clients, two of which need it by the end of the week and the other one needs it by tomorrow at noon.
This was an average week for me…
And I think you’ll be able to relate to this…
You know, I was working non-stop all the time.
And as a result, my bank account looked good…
But I felt like shit and I looked like shit too.
I didn’t like what I saw when I looked in the mirror…
And mentally I would constantly find myself in episodes of anxiety, extreme stress, and sometimes flat-out depression…
And in order to keep up with all that mental distress, I picked up a few habits I wasn’t too proud of.
I was smoking a lot…
Watching a lot of porn…
Eating junk food…
It was all so I could just get through the day with at least feeling something that felt good.
And eventually, that hit me…
I didn’t feel good inside, and rather than ask the uncomfortable question, “Why do I not feel good?”
I decided to just stuff it down with these negative habits.
I don’t know what caused it…
Maybe it was hitting rock bottom…
But at one point I stopped ignoring that question…
“Why do I not feel good?”
And I stopped lying to myself.
I didn’t feel good, because I wasn’t taking care of my body.
I was focusing so much on making money, that I didn’t leave any time for my health and fitness.
All I really want in this life is to become a high value man…
I mean that’s why I was working so much because I know part of being a high-value man is having your finances in order…
But what I was conveniently ignoring was another part of being a high-value man, which is being in shape.
Because when you ignore your body…
What it’s really saying, is that you don’t respect yourself…
And if you don’t respect yourself, how can you be high value?
Like what’s the point of being a millionaire if you’re a fat slob with no energy, right?
So there was this contradiction between what I believed and what I was doing…
And as a result, I came up with every justification in the book…
I don’t have time to go to the gym…
I can just do a workout at home…
Working out will drain me and I won’t have energy for work…
I’m too tired at the end of the day…
I’ll start next week…
On and on and on…
Eventually, the excuses fell flat.
Because all of those lies didn’t change what I was seeing in the mirror.
I had to be honest and understand that I’m someone who can’t balance his body and his business.
I would listen to guys like Jocko Willink who would say, “Just do it. You just need to work out.” and that would maybe motivate me for a few weeks…
But nothing would ever stick, I was constantly starting and stopping, never really making any real progress.
Eventually, I realized that an external solution like waking up earlier or hiring a trainer wouldn’t work…
That would only lead to new excuses being made with the same outcome.
I knew that I had to create a new version of Nicholas Verge, and that would only happen if I could change myself internally.
Because I saw it in my business, the only way the amount of money I made changed, was if I changed.
So this lead me to asking a few questions…
Is there a way to reset my mind?
How do I get rid of all my old programming?
Can I install a new version of myself that wasn’t experiencing my current problems?
I’ll post up my answers tomorrow :)
