Just Okay...

Why hello there…

I’ve just wrapped up a nice weekend with my friends Erin Alejandrino and Rachel Scheer here in Silverado Canyon, California.

I got a ton of insights from being around this couple, especially since they’re two of the most in-shape people I know.

But here’s the thing…

I don’t have time to write a super long post to share them all with you.

I need to get going here in a bit so I can be back in town by a certain time to grab dinner with a friend.

But I can share one thing with you that Rachel shared with me…

She was discussing a conversation she had with a therapist she’s working with who specializes in helping entrepreneurs.

And she was talking to him about the topic of performance anxiety…

To her, and I think to most of us, we place a lot of stress on ourselves to always show up perfectly.

But truth is, that’s kind of impossible…

And something she mentioned really stuck with me.

Her therapist said, “On your worst day, how do you show up?”

She said, “I show up okay but not perfect.”

“Okay so your worst day, we can establish that you’re just okay. Not awful, not amazing, but just okay. Right?”

And I really like that.

The same thing applies here with this substack…

Some days I’m super zoned in and write a baller post that is filled with amazing insights and esoteric gold.

Other times, like today, I’m not super in the zone, I’m kind of tired from all this travel, and I can write just an okay post.

And the best part is…

That’s okay.

Take that lesson to your own life, I’m sure it’ll help bring a nice healthy dose of self-acceptance and help lower some of the anxiety that comes with being a high-performance person if that is you.

Alrighty, I’ll be writing this next post for you back in Arizona and I can’t wait.

Talk soon, all the best.
