Love vs. CARE

Most people associate love as one of the highest frequencies a person can emit.

However, the scale they use for determining what action is of the highest frequency is man-made.

A lot of things that are man-made lack context.

Think about it like this…

You say that you love pizza.

You also say that you love your mother.

Do you love pizza as much as you love your mother?

No, at least I hope not.

Okay, so we can agree that there are varying degrees of love?

Just like how there are varying frequencies in the actions we take, there are varying frequencies in the level of love we emit.

The highest form of love is CARE.

If you’re growing corn, and you’ve planted hundreds of seeds…

Is sitting outside and loving your crops going to help you grow a plentiful bounty of corn?

Nope.

CARING for the crops is what makes sure the crops grow to their full potential.

You and me, we’re no different.

Think about CARE inside the frame of these questions…

What are you giving attention to and helping to grow?

What are you focusing upon?

Have you ever thought about something you wanted so much, that you ended up getting it?

When I was 18, all I was focused on was figuring out how to make money online.

Every moment that I wasn’t working some stupid job to pay the bills, I was at home learning how to make money online.

I CARED about figuring this out.

And as a result, within a few months, I was able to quit my jobs and start working for myself.

CARE leads to CREATION.

This is why I tend to see a lot of flaws in the paradigm of new-age spiritual people…

They talk about self-love…

But when you assess them, most of the time, they are…

Skinny, nutrient-deprived, addicted to marijuana, and constantly meditating to deal with their anxiety and depression.

(Psst…this is coming from someone who was in that boat.)

This is what self-love looks like?

True self-love should actually be self-care…

Because if you ACTUALLY CARE about yourself…

You would create a version of yourself that people would respect.

Why?

So maybe you don’t need to suffer in life any more than you already have to.

THAT is what true CARE looks like.

And the first step to creating that version of you is understanding there’s a fairly objective standard for what people respect.

You have your health together…

You’re in good shape physically…

You’re in good shape mentally…

You have your career and income together…

You have financial resources and are well off…

You have your relationships in order…

You have a significant other that you have a loving relationship with…

You have good friends who care about you…

You have mentors who help guide you down the right path…

That’s what a respectable individual looks like.

If you CARE about all of those areas, it’s inevitable that you’re going to create them.

Just loving yourself isn’t going to do anything for you.

You have to CARE.

It’s not that you need to have all of those things already, it’s more so are you doing what you need to do to bring those into creation? Are you CARING?

Now look, I emphasize this in almost every post I write…

Because It’s easy for people to call this out and I like to make my arguments very clear.

I am not sitting here on the top of the mountain devouring caviar and drinking mead saying…

“HAHA! Peasants! Look at your weak attempts to create a life of meaning! You shall never reach the top of this hill! I have created all of these aspects of a perfect reality! Muhahahaha!”

Not at all.

I’m barely getting started climbing up this mountain

I’ve made some decent progress…

But it’s a very long journey to get to the top.

I’ve learned so many lessons from slipping and falling down the hill.

My hope is that sharing these lessons with you will help you avoid the mistakes I made, and will help you see the spots where you could slip up.

And one of the main mistakes I made early on is thinking it was all about love…

Love means nothing without CARE.

And again, we must view CARE through this question…

“What are you giving attention to and helping to grow?”
