Q&A - Part 3

So I looked through the remaining questions I had from people who sent stuff in anonymously, and there were three left that I could answer.

A lot of people asked questions about clients, some of which I’m just not going to publish here on my Substack.

There were a few more that I’m actually going to do dedicated posts for because I felt like I could go on and on about them and it would be valuable to do a long-form answer on what they asked.

So if I didn’t get to your question, that’s why.

But let’s wrap up these remaining questions…

**Q: What Made You Start Your Fitness Journey?**A: I got tired of using something external for my credibility, the car, the clothes, the whatever. I believe the best form of confidence is internal, and the best form of internal confidence is your body. That was the way I thought about it.

There’s a lot more depth to this answer but I am currently working on a product for this in the background so don’t want to give away too much of the good stuff ;)

Q: What’s Your Squat, Bench, Deadlift?

A: So I don’t know my one rep max for any of these lifts mainly because I think the one rep max is too risky for injury, and also because I don’t care to know what it is. I can tell you what I did last time I did those lifts though.

For deadlifts I hit 275x6, I feel like I could pretty easily hit 300x4 but I’m not in a rush. The last time I deadlifted my body was just like WTF for the next two days, not even from bad form, my back felt fine, I just felt so exhausted across my body which makes sense, it’s a pretty massive shock to your central nervous system.

For squats, I haven’t really gone past doing 225x10, mainly because I think the risk for squatting is just way too high in my opinion, I honestly think it’s the easiest workout to fuck yourself up on. When I have gone up to like 250 my legs get too wobbly and I don’t really feel like blowing out an ACL so I’m cool with just maintaining that weight for a bit and moving up slowly.

And I never bench press with the barbell, only with the dumbbells. This is where I’m cool with pushing heavier weight just because my back isn’t at risk and as long as I keep my elbows tucked in, it’s kind of hard to get injured. I can get 75x6 on both flat and incline DB press which I’m pretty happy with for now.

Q: Favorite 3 Hip-Hop Rap Songs?
A: I go through phases of the music I listen to, but for all time top 3…

  1. The Way I Am - Eminem
  2. Chasing Faith - The Underachievers
  3. Unorthodox - Joey Bada$$

Honestly, I think it’s really hard to beat anything made by Joey or UA (Eminem is the rare exception), even though UA hasn’t come out with stuff in a while I still bump their older albums all the time.

I remember when I was involved in freemasonry, I was reading UA’s lyrics to a mason who was mentoring me and he said these guys were extremely switched on to esoteric symbology.

I think it’s easy to make rhymes with low-frequency stupid shit, I mean just say Gucci Gang a hundred times over and boom home run.

But actually, being able to tell a story, and it sounds good? Rare AF.
Even further than that, be able to tell a story that has so much depth it surpasses you

It really is amazing how they were able to take these deep spiritual principles and turn them into a flow with amazing rhymes. Issa Gold especially.
