Reject Modernity.

My family came here from Ukraine about 25 years ago. Since my parents were born in the former Soviet Union I’ve constantly heard time and time again, “There is no country that’s as amazing as the United States.”
I also think anyone with their head screwed on somewhat straight would agree the culture of the US is by far one of the worst in the world.
Now don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of great parts of the US, I don’t want it to seem like this post is only me shitting on something that brings me so much freedom and convenience in my life.
This post is more so about the trends of the modern world, which if you don’t know, is usually set by the United States because in a sense we control the pop culture of the world.
I think a lot of the problems we’re experiencing as a society has to do with the age-old saying…
“Hard Times Create Strong Men, Strong Men Create Good Times, Good Times Create Weak Men, Weak Men Create Hard Times.”
I think personally we’re at the last part of that cycle, which is actually great news because that means we’re about to have a resurgence of strong men in our world.
It’s interesting to ponder what caused us to fall into such a bastardization of the concept our country was founded on, which was freedom.
Freedom has become this selfish nihilistic concept where it’s, “Do whatever you want, don’t worry about any of the consequences.”
Freedom has to be balanced with responsibility, otherwise, everything goes to absolute shit because there’s no counterweight to balance everything out.
Pop culture through its actions promotes the worst parts of humanity…
Lust, weakness, addiction, greed, chaos, deceit, insanity…
Porn is okay.
Dad bods are okay.
Casual sex is okay.
Addiction is okay.
Abandoning the role of a mother or father is okay.
Not having your shit together at the age of 32 is okay Steven.
(Steven is a fictional character, but seriously get your shit together Steven. To quote Ron Burgundy, “life’s not let’s play candy land and take a 3-hour dump. It’s about getting a check, and keeping a gun out of your mouth.”)
All jokes aside…
I don’t want it to come off like I’ve been perfect my whole life and I’m talking down at you. Not at all. I took part in every single one of those ideologies.
I’m talking WITH you because I saw what was on the other side of this way of thinking, and it ain’t pretty!
There’s a contingency that comes with saying all of this BS is okay, which is that all of this is OKAY if you’re OKAY with the consequences.
And the consequences of most modern values are that you go to the bottom of the dominance hierarchy of men, which I’m sorry to break it to you, but the order of the hierarchy is determined by powerful men, not society.
Here’s an example…
I remember when I was doing Muay Thai at a gym in Phoenix we would have “light sparring” days on Friday. Anyone who’s done “light sparring” knows that’s really just code for all-out warfare.
There were some guys I fought that were extremely easy to piece up. However, there were other guys who would fuck me up so bad it felt like I couldn’t do anything at all to defend myself.
Society didn’t get to dictate who was better, it was one man against one man, and whoever won came out on top.
Think about the game of chess for a moment. Basically what modern values are promoting is that we can change all of the rules of chess and that’s okay.
News flash, you’re not playing chess anymore, you’re playing an imaginary game, and imaginary games are for children.
What I’m promoting is that we need to stop trying to reinvent the wheel and accept that there are ideal values for a man and ideal values for a woman and if we orientate our lives around these values, chances are we’ll live a pretty fulfilled life.
Now I'm not saying that modern values are all bad. I think the development of our empathy and ability to communicate with others is an amazing progression for all of us.
There are a lot of conversations we’re currently having that are changing the world for the better.
However, what I am saying is that for the most part, it’s absolutely a garbage idea that society nowadays just wants everyone to feel good, most of the values are just based on pleasure.
I personally believe that if your life is a mess, you have nothing to feel good about. That feeling of depression, anxiety, angst, whatever it is…
All of it is your internal judge calling for you to be more, to fix your shit and get it together. Not to tell yourself everything is okay and then blame it all on the patriarchy and the harsh nature of a dominance hierarchy.
Think about this for a second…
If modern values are so good, why is it that most of the people that preach modern ideology so heavily are entirely mentally unstable, have multiple suicide attempts under their belt, and are constantly needing approval from others for their good deeds?
You know exactly who I’m talking about, usually, their hair is usually blue or green and they have a lot of stickers on their metal water bottle
What I love to see is the massive trend of people basically saying, “Fuck this shit! No more!”
No more weakness.
No more porn.
No more casual sex.
No more gluttony.
No more backward thinking.
We’re going back to the values men should orientate themselves around…
Strength.
Honor.
Family.
Wisdom.
Courage.
Tradition.
Faith.
Order.
Reject modernity. Embrace masculinity.
