Self-Management

The quality of the life we're experiencing is in direct correlation to the quality of self-management that we exhibit.
When I look at any circumstances that I've met in life which were less than ideal…
Most of them were because of my own doing.
My self-management was shit.
I got too excited.
I wasn't handling my responsibilities.
I was doing things I shouldn't be doing.
I got lazy.
I got complacent.
I didn't have control over myself.
Notice how all of these statements start with “i”...
What do we mean when we say “i”?
“I” is our identity…
It’s the paradigm or the vision which we see ourselves with and the world with.
However, our identity when not properly managed has a tendency to change based on feelings, emotions, and circumstances.
When we are not managing it when we are not in control of it.
The loss of control over ourselves, in my opinion, is entirely necessary.
This is part of the process of growth…
You have to be willing to fall off the path.
The worst fear someone can hold is that they don't make a mistake, because you can't course correct if you're just standing still.
You have the end up in those circumstances where everything just feels fucked.
Otherwise, how are you going to grow?
The purpose of life is really nothing more than the creation of what you want your life to be.
You take where you currently are, with all of your flaws and mistakes…
Then you bridge the gap over and over and over.
I even think about this from a sales perspective...
Sales is nothing more than taking someone in their current situation…
Understanding their desired situation…
And then showing them that your product can bridge the gap for them.
It's not convincing someone, it's showing them that you can help them.
If you want to stand up and be the best version of yourself…
If you want to bridge the gap…
You have to help yourself…
And THAT is self-management.
Do you know how many people in life are not deliberate with their vision for reality?
Think about how few people actually have proper self-management over themselves at least 50% of the time…
They just kind of doo doo doo doo all around life.
They're not deliberate.
If you have even a somewhat blurry vision of what you want from life…
You have to be deliberate with your self-management.
The clarity will eventually come.
Understand this or forever run on the hamster wheel of confusion, my friend.
