Client Ascension Newsletter (Dec 26)

Subject Line: Michael Jordan Preview Line: how to keep scaling past $20-30k a month There’s this interview with Michael Jordan from some documentary I watched forever ago that I vividly remember. All of these interviewers are circled around MJ and one of them asks him… “Michael! How can we get our kids to become NBA superstars like you?” You know what he said? He didn’t say to make them practice every day for 5 hours a day. He didn’t say to hire the best coach for them. He didn’t say to make sure they go to the best high school in the country. He said… “First, they have to fall in love with the game.” I don’t even really like basketball all that much… But I fucking loved that quote because of how much it relates to business. Look, if you’re making $20-30k in profit every single month, you fall in the 97-98th percentile of earners in the United States. (And if you’re not making that, literally every single unit of focus and energy that you have needs to be focused on that.) But outside of ridiculous shit like buying Bugattis or having a Dan Blizerian-style mansion party… You can pretty much do whatever you want. And it’s easy for you to get comfortable at that income level because you’re not really hurting for anything, plus you’re seeing your bank balance go up each month assuming you’re not blowing every single dollar you make. So how does this relate to Michael Jordan? One of the only reasons it makes sense to move past $20-30k a month is purely for the love of the game. It’s hard to justify the extra work unless you really love what you’re doing and want to be the very best at it. Because I GUARANTEE you if you show up with “I'm just doing this for the money” energy… Someone is going to lap you. You’re going to get complacent and lazy, and their pure love for the game is what’s going to propel them past you. We’re not too far away from New Years… Might be a good time for you to reflect on what your relationship with the game looks like. Maybe do some soul-searching to reignite that passion. - Daniel Subject Line: Runescape Preview Line: I’ve been a wizard since day one bruh When I was like 13 years old, all I did was play Runescape. Literally, I did not give one solitary fuck about anything except Runescape. I would go hard on building up my skillset in Strength and Magic so I could kill all the high-level monsters that would drop the valuable loot. And I use this as a metaphor to explain how to succeed at business because no matter what you’re selling… Ghostwriting… Short-form Content… Ads… Copywriting… Whatever it is, if you treat it like a videogame, you’re going to win. There are certain skill sets (also known as a skillset stack) that allow you to make more money in whatever business you’re operating. For those examples I just gave you… Ghostwriting - Sales, Writing, Psychology Short-form Content - Sales, Video Production, Team Management Ads - Sales, Media Buying, Team Management Copywriting - Sales, Writing, Psychology (Do you see the common skill across all businesses?) If all you do is focus on leveling up in the skillsets specific to your business, there is literally no way that you don’t end up making more money. Anything that is not that, you just need to say no to it. Because it doesn’t make sense and it’s ultimately a waste of your time. If you’re trying to go kill monsters, why would you start focusing on improving your cooking skillset? If you’re trying to start a short-form content agency, why would you start focusing on how to run an Amazon FBA business? A lot of what keeps people stuck is just doing too much shit. If you just simplify and focus, this whole game of business is going to become a lot easier for you. - Daniel Subject Line: 500 hours Preview Line: most people will do nothing This email is not for you if you’re not already making AT LEAST $20k a month. And on top of that… This email is not for you if you’re lazy, unambitious, or totally okay with where you’re at. I wrote this email to break down at a high level what it’s going to take for you to hit your goals in 2023. Look, whatever your goal is… If you’re trying to hit $50k a month… $75k a month… Or $100k+ a month… You are LITERALLY 500 hours away from hitting that goal. And if you said, “Eh, that’s a lot of work” go ahead and unsubscribe from my list because it makes no sense for you to listen to me. My content is designed for the person who will stop at nothing until they hit their goals. But also, it’s really not that many days if you break it down into work days. I’m assuming if you’re in that $20-30k range, you’re working full-time inside of your business. Which means you have full control over the hours you work… So you can decide how long you want to work each day. I went ahead and created a handy visual demonstration to explain this to you… Working 12 hours every single day (no breaks, not even 1 day off) is obviously a lot more challenging than working 5 hours a day. But obviously, that’s why you achieve your goals much faster. It doesn’t matter what level you’re at, to hit the next level, all it takes is 500 hours or less. Because all you’re having to do is just solve the immediate problem which is preventing you from scaling… It’s almost always revolves around sales and bringing in clients, but as you progress further and further in your business it shifts more toward systems and operations. Whatever the bottleneck is, you have two choices when it comes to how you want to solve it… 1. By Yourself 2. Getting Help From Someone Who’s Already Solved The Problem That’s why I made Client Ascension. It’s not just about me, there are several other coaches in the program who have their own areas of expertise. Need help with operations and systems? Andre Haykal will help you with that. Need help with building out a VSL? Steven Trister will help you with that. Need help with sales and objection handling? David Jacob will help you with that. Need help with personal branding? Logan Fitz and Nick Rogers will help you with that. Need help with lead gen? Nick Abraham will help you with that. And that’s about HALF of the calls we have on a weekly basis all centered around helping you break through to the next level of your business. Time waits for no one, and the next 100, 63, 50, or 42 days are going to pass by regardless of what you do. The question is, do you want to hit the next level of your business during that time, or do you want to stay where you’re at? And that’s assuming you don’t follow me online or know anything about me… Most people just think I’m a normal dude. I don’t wear flashy shit. I don’t drive around in a chrome Lamborghini. I don’t flaunt my wealth like a total dickhead. I prefer for people to find out that I’m successful, rather than me telling them I’m successful. Because it’s a completely different frame setup. Let’s say I’m invited to a dinner with some random people and a friend of mine… If I show up and start saying “Oh yeah we’re cranking out a quarter mil a month” instantly what is everyone going to think? If they don’t believe me… I look like a douchebag. If they do believe me… I look like a douchebag. There isn’t a scenario where you really come out looking like a G if you’re telling everybody what you do. But… Let’s say the bill comes and it’s something like $1,200 for six people. If I just grab the bill, stick my card in, and pay for the whole meal, suddenly everyone is sitting there thinking… “Who the fuck is this guy?” See what I mean? Show, don’t tell, and when you do show, don’t be a tool about it. If it’s casual and non-flashy, you instantly become more mysterious to the other people around you. And that’s what gets people interested in you. That can lead to business deals, cool friendships, new mentors, a better social circle, etc. I promise you, it’s a much better look. - Daniel
