Client Ascension Newsletter (Jan 16)

Email 1 Subject Line: I was PISSED 😡 Preview Line: I hate this A while back I made a youtube short that talked about what I would do if I started from scratch… What offer would I start and what I would do. Basically, I would do a short-form content agency, pick 100 influencers or companies, and just start sending free edited content to them. That’s all I would focus on to get money in my bank account so I could pay my living expenses and get some breathing room. And I decided to share that in an email the other week, and oh my fucking god… I got literally THE DUMBEST responses from people on that email. Dudes were asking me “Well is that a good strategy to start with? I don’t think I can scale with that strategy.” MY GUY. Why are you worried about scaling, you literally don’t even have any customers. But then there was another group of people who were like… “Ah, I don’t want to do free work for people.” And if you’re thinking that…this is why you’re poor. Because it’s like, what ELSE are you going to do with your time? I guarantee you that if I were watching you like a hawk for a week straight… There would be AT LEAST 10 hours that you’re wasting on stupid shit between you jerking off, watching Netflix, and watching Tik Tok. You’re already doing short-form content… You’re already doing landing pages… Or you’re already doing emails for ecom brands… Why wouldn’t you just spend that free time doing more of that thing and use it to get clients? Making money is SUPER black and white. Either you’re putting in the work… Or you’re wasting your time… And at the end of the day, your actions show what you really value. - Daniel @ Client Ascension [a] P.S. I’m going to send you an email towards the end of the week expanding on “putting in the work”... It’s going to absolutely RIP so keep an eye out for it. Email 2 Subject Line: quick question Preview Line: help me out Hello friend, I’ve got a bit of a different email for you today. Instead of calling you poor, sharing a badass story, or giving you a massive pile of value… I’d like to hear from you. What type of content do you want to see from my newsletter that would help you the most? If you could do me a favor and reply to this email with your answer, I would really appreciate it. If you have specific questions, send me them. If you’d like to see more content on a particular topic, send me the topics. If you want to know stuff about me, send me what you want to know. Hit reply and send it through. Looking forward to seeing what you submit. - Daniel @ Client Ascension [b] Email 3 Subject Line: here’s why… Preview Line: (n/a) I had a conversation with a friend the other day and he asked me a question I really liked… Which was, “Why do you do what you do? And what is your vision for Client Ascension?” Do you guys see how damn good that question is? Like how much more value are you going to get from asking a founder that type of question… Rather than asking them, “HoW dO I gET RiCh?” Stop asking bad questions and you’ll stop being poor. Anyways, I liked this question so I figured it’d be a good email to share with all of you. Basically, I feel like the agency education space is a total shithole. You have guys who have no idea what they’re talking about… Trying to coach agency owners on how to scale my agency. Like my guy… How the hell are you going to educate people on something you can barely do yourself? There’s a particularly big name in the money twitter space, I won’t say who… But we’ve had four of his students join our program within the last month. LITERALLY, every single one of them said his program was a steaming load of dog shit. And then the cherry on top is that both me and Andre were talking with a guy who worked with this dude’s agency to run his ads… And he said it was the worst client experience he’s ever had, and they fired this “agency guru” within a month. To me, it seems like some guys are just really good at building a personal brand, and they just leverage the living shit out of that to peddle their low-level crap. And then there are some other guys who have a halfway decent program for agency owners… But we have students from their programs too, and they all say you can only get to like $20k a month using their stuff. And the reason why is because the person teaching… Hasn’t ever scaled past $20k a month themselves. So maybe if you’re trying to scale to $100k a month… You should listen to people who’ve done it themselves… And who actually gets results for their clients. What a shocking idea, I know. [c]\ So basically the reason why we do what we do at Client Ascension is that there needs to be a place agency owners can go to get the sauce. You need to be able to get access to people who are actually hitting $100k+ months… And you need to be able to see the systems behind a business operating at that level. That’s what we provide. And as far as what my vision is for Client Ascension… Well, this email is already pretty long so I’ll have to pick up on that topic another day. - Daniel @ Client Ascension [d] Email 4 Subject Line: This Book = Poor Prevention Preview Line: Read it. SO Simple. Hello my friends, There’s this book and you should read it if you don’t want to be poor. It’s called The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson and I 100% would recommend reading it. This book is the exact philosophy I keep PREACHING on Twitter and inside Client Ascension. Look at this beautiful fucking chart from the book… This is where most agency owners are at that I talk to… They go through these seasons of revenue going up and going down, over and over again… And this is why they oscillate (how’s that for a fire word) between failure and survival. Guys, please just listen to me… $30K A MONTH IS NOT SUCCESS. YOU NEED TO SET BIGGER GOALS. YOU SHOULD BE TRYING TO MAKE $30K A DAY. What Olson is explaining in the book is that it’s the sustained effort that really allows you to hit REAL levels of success. When you’re in failure mode, for example, your bank account hitting a number you don’t like… You start to scramble and are working your face off, right? And then what happens? Your work brings in some income, you get comfortable, and you stop doing the things you were previously doing. And within no time at all, you’re back down to failure mode. So what’s the solution? KEEP DOING THE WORK. But just grinding your face off will only get you so far, that willpower can’t last forever. What you have to understand is that there are two types of work… 1. Non-Leveraged Work 2. Leveraged Work Non-Leveraged Work can get you to consistent $30k months, no problem. Leveraged work gets you to $100k months. Seriously leveraged work gets you to $30k days. Leverage is having systems in place that bring you clients on auto-pilot. Leverage is having a team in place that multiplies the output of your business. Leverage is having a personal brand that’s so strong that it gives you instant credibility. And honestly, now that I’m writing this, I feel like non-leveraged work is what causes people to keep falling back into failure mode… Because when you’re leveraging systems, team, branding, and so on, you can literally not do shit in the business for a month… And it PRINTS cash.
