Email 1 Subject line: The truth about the "laptop lifestyle" Preview Line: (it keeps you poor) Yo, This past week has been a bit of a shit show for me. I've been in the process of moving out of my apartment in Tampa and into a new house, which has completely disrupted my normal work routine. Without my usual structure, it’s been impossible to get anything productive done. Between going back and forth between my two places, dealing with spotty WiFi, and having a hurricane blow through… It's been a total write-off work-wise. And it's really illuminated something important that I wanted to talk about… Literally, all of your productivity is dependent on having a consistent routine. I genuinely do not believe anyone who says otherwise, it is absolutely essential for productivity and business growth. I know a lot of people fantasize about the "laptop lifestyle" - being able to work from cafes, hotels, the beach, etc. Personally, I think it’s complete bullshit, and most of the people advocating for that…are POOR. When I'm in my regular workspace, there are zero distractions. No one walking around, no noises, nothing to take my focus away. But when you work in public spaces, there are constant distractions. For fucks sake, just go sit at a cafe and try to focus on your screen and see how long it takes for you to get distracted. You’ve got people walking by, attractive women, noises, etc. Good luck trying to not look up every 5 minutes. You simply can't get any important or deep work done in that kind of environment. Also, if you take calls in those environments, you look poor too. How do you, as a full-grown adult, not have an office for your work? It’s nonsense. Sure, if you just want to coast along at $5k a month, you can probably get away with working in random places. But if you ACTUALLY want to grow a REAL business… You need to be laser-focused for hours at a time. You need a routine that allows complete focus on high-priority tasks. Without that, you're not going to get shit done. The truth is pretty simple tbh… Consistent routine + focus is what leads to real progress and growth. - Daniel @ Client Ascension Email 2 Subject line: finish out 2023 with insane growth There are 4 months remaining in 2023. If you want to finish out the year on a high note, it’s not just about of focus and routine like I talked about in my last email… That’s just one piece of the puzzle. It’s also about understanding that you need an INSANE level of inputs to see any notable level of growth in your business. My previous email didn't fully do this topic justice, so let’s expand on it… Back in 2018 and 2019, in the agency space, you could get away with shockingly little output and still see solid business growth. The competition was far lower… Business owners hadn't been flooded with tons of marketing messages from agencies yet… And there was WAY less sophistication on the buyer side. At that time, you could cold email 100 companies per month, post once a week on social media, and convert just 10% of your leads… And easily hit 6 figures in revenue. But today, in 2023? That level of volume would get you absolutely crushed. With how saturated and competitive every industry is now, the amount of inputs required is mind-bending. If you think doing 100 cold emails per month and posting once per week is going to cut it… You. Are. Going. To. Stay. Poor. To really see momentum and growth in 2023 as an agency, most businesses need to be doing AT LEAST: - 500-1000+ cold emails per WEEK - 100+ cold calls booked per week (business dependent) - 5-10x more content output etc etc. The level of volume and output needed today across every metric is EXPONENTIALLY higher than just 5 years ago. Yet so many businesses still operate at 2019 levels of volume and can't understand why they're stuck. Here's the golden key: Business growth today is almost 100% a game of attrition and insane consistency. Sure, talent, positioning, and execution matter. But by far the biggest factor is who can stick it out for the longest time and do the most volume without burning out. Whoever can operate at 10x the output of competitors for multiple years will win the industry. It DOES NOT MATTER who’s the most talented or skilled. Business growth has become a war of attrition. This is why you see absolute scammers and bullshit artists becoming massively successful. They realize it's all about the inputs, not actual quality. Now, yes, you should sell a good product and provide a good service… I’m just saying the inputs are what actually drive growth. So if you're looking at your revenue right now and aren't happy with it... Step 1: Get clear on what your top goal is (leads, conversions, fulfillment, etc) Step 2: Look at your current volume levels in that area Step 3: Increase it 3-5x immediately Do that across 3-4 key areas and I guarantee you'll start seeing way more momentum. But so many businesses spin their wheels because they think outdated levels of volume combined with "business alignment" or "belief in yourself" will do the trick. Nope. Dumb. You need to pump out absolutely DISGUSTING amounts of input across the board if you want to thrive. No way around it nowadays. - Daniel @ Client Ascension Email 3 Subject Line: hockey Preview Line: read this or ur poor forever Research shows that a huge percentage of NHL players are born in the months of January through March. Why? Because youth hockey leagues use calendar year age cutoffs. So at age 7, a kid born in January is nearly a FULL YEAR older and more physically developed than a kid born in December. The January kids are 14% bigger on average. So naturally, the January kids dominate games because they're more advanced. They get more attention from coaches and parents, which makes them play more and get even better. Their early physical advantage opens up massive opportunities down the road. This may seem unrelated to growing an agency, but I promise you, it’s not. This example applies DIRECTLY to developing a reputation as a resourceful person. If you have that reputation, guess what? More people will enjoy being around you. You get more opportunities, encouragement, and investment from others. It becomes a positive feedback loop, compounding over time EXPONENTIALLY, especially as you get older. This is the truth: people want to help out and be around winners and resourceful people. It's human nature. But all too often, when shit gets hard, MFers start complainin and embodying victim mentality… It is LITERALLY repellant for anyone successful or who has their shit together. Winners want to be around winners, not losers. Everyone faces struggles, frustrations, and situations that feel unfair. So what? Suck it up and push through, you don’t get AROUND problems, you go THROUGH problems. Here are a few of the most common behaviors that are guaranteed to keep you poor and repel anyone worth being around: 1. Complaining excessively about how hard/frustrating things are rather than focusing on potential solutions. 2. Blaming outside forces or other people for setbacks rather than taking responsibility. 3. Making excuses based on lack of time/money/experience/knowledge. 4. Talking about how crushed you feel by challenges rather than just getting it done. 5. Acting envious of others' success instead of being inspired by it. When you notice yourself slipping into those behaviors, you need to snap out of that shit. This stuff is sticky, if you do it for too long, it becomes a habit and a pattern. The more you default into resourceful, “get it done” mentalities, the more you'll attract the same in your outer world. It all starts with your daily thoughts and words. Making slight shifts there compounds over the long run. This week we’ve talked about focus + routine… And we also talked about raising the living hell out of your inputs… But this email is really the glue that holds it all together… To summarize, stop being a little bitch, grow up, and get the job done. - Daniel @ Client Ascension Email 4 Subject Line: question quick Preview Line: open this ser Are you wanting to add an additional $10,000 a month in recurring revenue to your agency GUARANTEED… And get help building out all of the systems that will allow you to scale to $100k a month?
