Subject Line: 4 macro categories 2 requirements
Preview Line: So simple…
Most people are honestly kind of clueless about how simple business is.
And I know I make this shit a meme, but I’m serious…
It’s REALLY simple.
BUT, most people are either deceived by it and underestimate the amount of effort it will take to be successful…
Or they get preoccupied with the little details and fail to think strategically.
Business is, in a very real sense 4 macro categories…
* Creating high-quality products or services that satisfy customers
* Attracting attention
* Selling those products or services
* Ensuring satisfaction with high-quality support and service
That’s it.
That doesn't require some type of advanced formulaic analysis or a fucking degree.
Yet, most people struggling are only struggling because they just don't do the fundamentals in each area…
And if they actually do them, it’s never consistently.
So LITERALLY…
Those 4 macro categories just require you to…
1. Do the things you need to do
2. Do them consistently
THAT’S IT.
If we zoom out enough, that's about as straightforward and as easy as it's going to get.
I was actually laughing last night about this because you have no lack of people overcomplicating the living fuck out of something that should be pretty simple.
If we’re looking at those 4 macro-categories, I believe that attracting attention is the most difficult task for most people…
But a big part of that is because what you’re doing doesn't deserve attention.
You learned email from a youtube channel and are now in a pool of 100,000 other email marketers.
You have nothing to stand out with and you’re really not even all that good at what you do.
(not all of you, but you can see how there are levels to this and this can apply to everyone)
You must either become unbelievably skilled at what you do in order to stand out from the competition…
Or you must be able to get as much attention as you can in order to be seen as the authority on the issue you are discussing.
All branding is just that…
It's not a color palette.
It isn't a typeface.
It's not a logo.
It’s that when people think about your topic, they think of you.
THATS IT.
You either do that by promoting the living fuck out of what you do and getting it out on every platform…
Or you become the absolute best at what you do to the point where the results speak for themself.
I think the best balance is right down the middle.
A healthy level of sharpening the axe and being lethal at your skillset but also a healthy level of promoting and putting yourself out there to get attention.
Do you understand?
Get really proficient at what you do, be absolutely exceptional.
Then after that, master marketing it and get your shit in front of people.
So simple.
But few do the fundamentals which allow you to play the game in its inherent simplicity.

It’s extremely easy to criticize, but you should never let your criticism cause you to write someone off entirely.
Here’s what I mean…
You will see people on Twitter put some shit out there that popped off…
And you might think they looked bad, they’re not right, they did this bla bla bla.
But here's the thing…
They got the attention, and you didn't.
Sure, they might be selling shit and they might not be the best role models…
But they still attracted attention.
Instead of criticizing them and pointing out what you would do differently, why not execute your ideas better than they did?
Again I am not saying to disregard your sense of morals, integrity, etc. and go do anything for attention.
That’s retarded.
What I am saying is to realize you can always learn something and you dont need to comment on everything.
You can simply observe, pull the good out, and go about your own business.
Because here’s what I’ve realized over time…
There are negative opinions about everyone and everything that someone does.
And that applies to you too my friend…
You can't worry about what others might say or think.
You need to be willing to put your brand out there, with its essential principles, concepts, content, and message, and let the world see it.
And here’s the thing, some people are going to act like absolute dumbasses.
They will argue and debate with you and say you’re wrong.
Do not pay attention to them, they’re basically about as NPC as NPC can get.
For example, I recently sent out an email about Matt Lucero and how he’s been crushing inside of CA…
And literally, someone emails me back saying I’m a liar and that Matt isn’t in CA.
Like you can’t make this shit up.
So yes, disregard those fringe minority retard comments, but you still need to be mindful of how people perceive you.
Don't treat everyone negatively just because there are some rotten apples in the basket.
If everyone thinks you're a dick, you're not a good marketer.
You're a dick.
Yes, more eyes may be the answer, but…
You need to turn those eyeballs into positive associations instead of just being a “hot-take” specialist.
Again, that just makes you look like a dick

Subject Line: There’s a nail in your head
Preview Line: You gonna take that out or…?
There’s this parody video that went viral forever ago that has a woman with a nail in her head…
And she's complaining to her boyfriend about how she has a headache, and he suggests that maybe it's because of the nail in her head…
And then they start arguing about it, with her saying it's not the nail even though it's 100% the fucking nail.
This is how I feel when I tell people the reason why they can't scale is that their customers aren’t serving as proof of their service at all.
And the response is usually, “No I don’t think that’s it.”
Literally the dumbest shit ever.
THERE IS A NAIL IN YOUR HEAD.
Going to rant on this, so buckle up…
If you see your clients as someone who gives you money and then you provide a service for them and you dont really give a shit whether they get results or not…
You will always be poor, and you will forever be an absolute moron.
And I'm not trying to attack you, at a certain point I did this stupid shit too.
But I eventually realized you need to make results the first and foremost focus of the business you’re running.
Before marketing, before sales, before everything else…
You need to make sure you can get people results.
Because here’s what you MFers don’t understand…
Your customers are the best sales force on the planet.
Better than ads.
Better than organic.
Better than cold email.
Think about this for a sec…
Client acquisition can be paid at a high ticket level or it can be paid at a low ticket level.
For instance, you could have ads and just be booking calls, which is fairly high-ticket…
Or you could be paying a video editor so you can distribute content on social media at mass to generate a similar level of impressions.
Either way, you're still paying to acquire a customer.
But here’s the thing, it costs you $0 for your customer to refer someone to your business.
It costs $0 for them to talk about you on a podcast or in one of their masterminds.
If you provide a service that’s just so fucking good, that inevitably you create a raving customer base…
That is just about the most effective customer acquisition machine you can create.
Guys, just drill this shit through your head
1. Good Offer
2. Amazing Fulfillment
3. Eyeballs
4. Sales Process
THAT'S IT
But what’s 50 percent of that fucking equation?
GOOD OFFER AND AMAZING FULFILLMENT.
Simple.
But few will get it.

When I think about my “competition”, I always try to figure out what sets me apart and what I can do better than them.
One thing that I’ve been thinking A LOT about is how it’s difficult for people to see how much further ahead I am without doing something flashy like buying a Lamborghini.
Like, there’s this one guy on Twitter…
I won’t name names, but people often look at him as my competition.
I know the numbers of his business, we’ve talked before.
I make 3x as much as him.
Every month.
I am 3x better than him.
300-fucking-percent.
But unless we’re posting bank statements side-by-side, which most people are not going to do…
It always becomes a competition of who’s got the nicest stuff and that’s just not something I’m going to do.
It’s dumb.
Don't get me wrong - I love supercars, but it's not a smart business move unless you have a ton of liquid cash.
The majority of the people you see online showing off their supercars are technically broke.
They have the same tax bills and expenses as the rest of us, they don’t get to escape that.
More than likely, they never have more than $100k in their bank account.
And it’s the lack of liquid cash that holds them back from making the smart decisions that can propel a business forward.
This may be hard for you to understand based on your programming and where you’re at…
But you don’t want to hold onto cash, you want to deploy cash.
You’re either investing it into investment vehicles or you’re putting it back into the business.
You should 100% NOT just use the money to fuel your lifestyle.
Your business revenue is like a lake…
Some people just fill up that lake and immediately drain it, spending the money on stupid shit.
Smart business owners, on the other hand, keep pouring money back into the lake until it gets massive.
Don't get caught up in the internet clout game.
Instead, be smart with your money and use it to make investments in your business so you can make your boat go faster.
Guys, I could literally leave my house right now and go buy a Lamborghini with cash, but that would be the stupidest possible decision I could make.
If I deployed that money into ads, I could make 2-3x that amount back.
It doesn't make sense to buy a flashy car when it won't bring any return on investment.
Regardless, here are the main points…
Be smart with your money, and use it to make your boat go faster.
Don't worry about what others are doing or what flashy shit they have.
It’s a dumb game to play and dumb games have dumb rewards.
- Daniel @ Client Ascension
P.S. if you’ve got an excess of capital that you’re looking to deploy, but aren’t sure what the best move for you would be…
May I suggest Client Ascension?
