Let’s talk about momentum…
We’ve got this member inside Client Ascension, Matt Lucero, who runs a B2B Lead Gen Agency.
The other week he closed a client.
Then he closed another client the same day.
And after that, another lay-down close came to him.
All in one day.
He messaged me, “Hey bro, got another guy wants to close. But I'm like scared the fulfillment is going to get screwed up.”
I told him he needs to do it anyways because you don't just all the time just get that much velocity.
Like that doesn't happen.
You don't get to choose when this happens.
Are you going to have to sacrifice a weekend or two and be a bit stressed during the week?
Probably.
But that's what you have to do.
You can't just deny them because you don't have space.
Because you're not going to get another opportunity at your current level where you're just going to be able to close three in a day.
I feel like when this type of shit happens, it's a test from the universe.
If every time you are given an inkling of momentum, you don't capitalize on it…
You're just not going to be given any opportunities for momentum anymore.
You're training the universe to think, “Yeah, if we give this guy all this opportunity, he just doesn't take it.”
And from there, you’re fucked.
You just don't get it anymore.
It stops coming to you.
But if you capitalize on momentum once, it leads to other opportunities that lead to more momentum.
These waves of momentum, are very rare.
And if you don't take advantage of them, it's going to be a really long time until you get another period of momentum like that.
But here’s what’s cool, if you capitalize on it, the frequency with which it will happens will increase.
So that’s entirely on you…
Few people realize this, and it’s why they stay stuck.

Business is kind of like a series of walls that you have to break through if you want to succeed.
Pretty much across the board with every business model…
You get these huge spikes of revenue and shortly after, your shit breaks.
In other words, your operations get fucked.
You’re super stressed and you don’t have the capacity to manage it.
That’s usually why after a huge spike in revenue, it dips afterward.
Eventually, your revenue stabilizes at a set number, and that’s your average monthly revenue.
The wall that you have to break past is what prevented your business from not growing.
Because you didn’t have the systems to manage the spike, you couldn’t keep going.
You will never, EVER, get past that level unless you fix the operations behind it.
It just doesn’t work that way.
When you hit that spike and you're kind of stabilizing a little bit, you have to hire people or create systems that streamline your process.
Yes, you will lower your margins BUT when that spike occurs again, you can increase revenue.
So it's a constant oscillation of…
Spike
⬇️
Mega stress
⬇️
Lower your margin
⬇️
Spike
See what I mean?
Most people are afraid of their margin lowering because when you start out…your margin is going to be like 90%.
But you're going to go down to 50% at scale.
Because you’re going to start incurring fixed expenses like employees, more softwares, etc.
And you have to spend more on ads.
At scale, your costs expand exponentially.
Either deal with it or don’t complain about staying stuck.

We’ve got a lot of different people inside of Client Ascension.
But there are mainly two categories of people I see inside the program…
You’ve got your WHAT personalities…
People who just need to know what to do, and that’s about it, they manage the rest.
But you’ve also got your HOW personalities…
These people need to know the specific explanations of what to do step by step, inch by inch.
I’ve found that these are usually the guys who have some sort of an analytical or technical background…
Coders, data analysts, accountants, etc.
They need specifics otherwise they can’t function.
But regardless of which category someone fits into, they’ve got a unique personality…
And that means they need to be communicated with in a certain way otherwise they don’t feel like they’re being understood or getting value.
Here’s the thing, I don’t want to pay myself on the back, but I feel like I’m pretty good at that.
In high school, I was super smart.
- 4.3 GPA
- AP Classes
- Dual Enrollment
But at the same time, I’d go to parties, especially ghetto parties.
But when I got there, I would just morph.
Like I would literally change the vocabulary I used and adapted to the environment.
Because the way you communicate with your Biology partner Steven…
Is not the same way you communicate with drug dealer Mike.
And the same thing transfers over to a coaching program like Client Ascension…
I can’t communicate with people the same way, all the time.
Otherwise people would struggle to get results, they need an explanation unique to them.
And this same thing applies to your clients…
You cannot have one style of communication for all clients.
You need to be able to adapt your communication…
Or you won’t be able to serve your clients at a high enough level.
I heard this once and I thought it was a great saying…
“Good communication is based on what your listener was able to retain, not how well you said it.”
Remember that.
Simple, really.
