Want to see explosive growth with your agency?
Great.
All you need to do is follow these 3 Simple And Non-Negotiable Rules To Follow If You Want To Rapidly Scale Your Agency.
I’ve dealt with hundreds of agency owners at this point, and I can tell you with absolute conviction…
The agency owners who follow these rules always are able to see results.
Yes, it really is that simple.
Those 3 rules are…
Rule #1: Trends Come And Go, Markets Stick Around
What truly matters for your agency isn't the latest industry trend or shiny object…
The only thing that ACTUALLY matters is understanding your target market and their specific needs or pain points.
THIS is what allows you to:
1. Effectively position your offer
2. Differentiate yourself from competitors
There is a constant creation of new mechanisms, new marketing strategies, new this, new that, in every market where something is being sold.
And while you can certainly leverage trends to be able to provide a better product for the market…
You always need to focus on the market and their needs FIRST.
Don’t get so caught up in some trend that you never allow yourself to ask, “How is this useful to my market?”
Rule #2: This Is A Relationship Game
Want to know the natural consequence of building strong relationships and providing exceptional value with your niche?
The ability to generate audience growth, expand your customer pool, and bring in word-of-mouth referrals.
Simple, really.
If you prioritize building genuine connections with your audience through organic content…
(One form of playing the relationship game)
If you do a phenomenal job for your clients and are always going above and beyond to get results…
(Another form of playing the relationship game)
If you provide VALUABLE, RELEVANT, and THOUGHTFUL content to the market…
(One more way of playing the relationship game, you get the point.)
You’ll never struggle to bring in new business.
Rule #3: The Scale Profit Paradox
This rule is a personal favorite of mine, because it wipes out 90% of people that could be a potential competitor of yours.
Whether you are a B2B business owner, a service-based online business, or an agency owner, this applies to YOU.
If you want scalable growth, you need to get comfortable with spending more.
Because as you make more money, the volume and scale of problems you start to encounter increases exponentially.
Which means you either…
1. Need to invest in systems or services
2. Need to hire new staff
And as a result, your profit margin is inevitably going to drop.
But, this is necessary if you want to grow.
You may not make as much as you normally do for a few months.
But realistically, the goal is to get more total revenue through the door.
You could totally run a solo agency that makes $100k a month.
But it would be a lot easier for you to run that same agency if you had $50k of expenses like staff, training, different softwares, and so on.
Yes, you need to spend $50k a month…
Which only leves you with $50k of profit…
But now it’s easier for you to scale to $200k a month, $300k a month and so on.
Welcome to business, it’s called MARGINS.
Get used to them.

I wanted to clarify something from my previous email that I sent out yesterday…
I talked about the fact that you need to hire staff and deal with lower your margins if you want to scale.
But even though, some agency owners follow this principle, they still shit the bed on this…
There’s this boomer old corporate and traditional mindset of equating growth and increasing headcount.
Like people REALLY think that expanding their team will automatically lead to more clients and higher revenue.
Not true.
Look at these 3 different types of agencies…
Agency A: Hires multiple employees without any clear growth strategy in place or any systems in place to cut out inefficiencies and prevent communication breakdowns.
Agency B: Focuses solely on hiring more employees instead of optimizing their existing team, resulting in increased costs without proportional revenue growth.
Agency C: Prioritizes training the existing staff while gradually onboarding more employees onto their team to match them in with the company culture.
It’s pretty obvious that Agency A and Agency B are fucked.
This idea of “hiring more employees just for growth” is dumb because it 100% overlooks strategy, processes, and scalability.
Yes, you want to expand your team but OBVIOUSLY you understand that adding more people to a team does not automatically result in solved problems.
If you focus on developing a detailed growth strategy that includes:
1. Achieving Product Market Fit
2. Outbound Marketing Strategy
3. Inbound Marketing Strategy
4. Systems For Fulfillment
Only when you have all of those in place should you even think about hiring new staff.

TONS of agency owners quit too soon.
Don’t get me wrong, sometimes you should quit…
But you also need to know when it’s too soon to quit.
When you understand the idea of “lagging and leading indicators” you’ll know EXACTLY when you should keep going and when you should jump ship on any idea.
These two concepts are basically just indicators of progress and success…
Lagging indicators are measurements that indicate past performance and are often the results or outcomes of your efforts.
(i.e. revenue, client acquisition rate, or profit margin)
On the other hand, leading indicators are the activities and behaviors that come before the desired results.
(i.e. qualified leads generated, conversion rates, or customer satisfaction scores.)
I see this mistake being made CONSTANTLY with agency owners that solely focus on lagging indicators.
They get too focused on the final outcome…
They’re expecting immediate success and they end up acting discouraged when it doesn't materialize as quickly as they hoped.
But here's the truth: lagging indicators are the culmination of the leading indicators.
Imagine planting a seed and expecting a fully grown tree overnight.
It's a childish (and dumb) expectation.
Similarly, building a successful agency requires nurturing and cultivating the right leading indicators.
You need to take CONSISTENT action to allow enough of the leading indicators to stack up…
(e.g. # of cold email responses)
So you can then eventually see the outcome you were looking for with the lagging indicators.
(e.g. # of booked calls or sales)
When you understand the dynamics of lagging and leading indicators…
You don't let the lack of immediate results discourage you.
You just focus on the activities that drive progress and trust the process.
