All The Best, Danny Reardon Founder @ EFXU Email 2 Subject Line: it’s HARD Preview Line: don’t listen to anything else The EFXU team got together this past week at an event in Nashville, TN. A lot of the time we’re just talking over Zoom, so it’s good when we can see each other face-to-face! We really focused on improving our explanation around how we help people better understand forex trading. Here’s basically what we came up with… We want to be more brutally honest. We have a lot of faith in what we’ve created with EFXU but the truth is… Most people are not going to see success with forex. This game is HARD. It takes time to get good at it. And yes, you’re going to lose some trades. I mean just think about how many people try to lose weight but never do… Are they capable of losing weight? Absolutely. Does their inability to form better habits and not put in the work keep them stuck? Yup. Forex trading is no different. Yes, we have traders in our program who have seen a lot of success. But they put in WORK, they went all in, they obsessed over forex and that’s part of how they made it happen. We also have some traders who realized they weren’t cut out for this game… They weren’t ready to do what they needed to do in order to become a full-time trader. So while we want to minimize the level of difficulty you have to deal with by showing you how to NOT make the expensive mistakes that we’ve already made… And while we do believe that our smart money trading system is one of the best systems to follow… It doesn’t change the fact that this game is hard. Hard…but worth it. All The Best, Danny Reardon Founder @ EFXU Email 3 Subject line: (Do This) winning behavior Preview Line: he could dominate 2023 What’s the difference between a forex trader that’s destined for failure… And a forex trader that’s got a high likelihood of winning big? AWARENESS. Take a look at Anthony, one of the members inside of EFXU… Anthony ended up exiting a trade a little early and didn’t make as much profit as he could… But the key point I wanted to highlight was that he said “my emotions got the better of me.” That is a win to me because when you can identify the problem, you can start to fix the problem. And the reason I’m confident that Anthony will achieve his forex goals is that he’s being honest with himself. He’s not making excuses. He’s not saying it’s bad luck. He’s owning his mistake, making it positive, and realizing what he could do better. That’s how a winner thinks. Not getting emotional while trading is hard! You need to have a clear plan and stick to it, rather than making impulsive decisions based on emotions. Also, it never hurts to step away from the charts and take a break if you feel overwhelmed. Remember, successful trading is about making calculated risks and sticking to a strategy… Not about trying to be gung-ho and overly impulsive with every trading decision. All The Best, Danny Reardon Founder @ EFXU Email 4 Subject Line: let’s bake a forex cake Preview Line: the ingredients for success Hey %FIRSTNAME%, Today, I’d like to focus on some big picture macro-concepts that I personally feel are useful for every forex trader. All successful traders have a recipe for success that they follow. Here’s mine… Ingredient 1: Preparation Preparation is everything that comes before you even sit down to trade. This includes but is not limited to… Researching and understanding chart patterns… Understanding your strengths and weaknesses as a trader… Having a full trading strategy in place that you religiously follow. Without this, trading is way more difficult than it needs to be. Ingredient 2: Self-Development Rarely will your external results, like your bank account, exceed your self-development. Everything on the outside is a direct reflection of the level of growth and development you have internally. If you want to be a successful trader, you must invest in yourself and continue to grow as a person. This includes developing the right mindset, learning new trading techniques, and challenging yourself to improve. The best traders I know are extremely addicted to self-development. It seems irrelevant to trading, I promise you, it’s not. Ingredient 3: Measuring Measuring is absolutely crucial, by this, I mean keeping a trade journal. Imagine you never had a recipe for how to bake a cake… You just knew the ingredients. Obviously, it makes sense that you must measure all inputs and outputs, and have a constant feedback loop in place to determine what worked… And what definitely didn’t work. When it comes to forex, measuring is what allows you to optimize and scale, and this is what sets successful traders apart. Whether it's backtesting your trading strategy or measuring the results of your trading… Measuring is essential for success. Ingredient 4: Environment + Routine Every profitable forex trader sets themselves up for success by having an environment and routine that promotes success. If you’re in a chaotic, loud, and noisy environment while you’re trading… You’re not going to be able to focus, and this is going to prevent you from making the right decisions. And I can’t understate the importance of a routine… Because just like forex is a game of inputs and outputs… Your performance as a trader of inputs and outputs. One of the most important parts of your routine is your sleep schedule. Again, I know this seems irrelevant, but… If you sleep poorly, you’re not going to be as sharp as usual. I know it may seem like this isn’t really forex advice but I’m telling you… Sleep is HUGE. If I sleep poorly, and I’m feeling groggy, I literally won’t trade that day. It’s just not worth it, I know I’m going to make bad decisions that I’ll regret. The little things are what help you win, trust me. If you want to achieve your trading goals, you gotta focus on these ingredients and consistently work to improve in each of them.
