Roy H Williams Private Day

Dear Mr. Williams, I’m writing ahead of our private session to outline what I’m looking to achieve together with our time. I run a marketing agency called, Copy and Systems, and I’ve brought my partner Nick (two Nicks, yes) along with me to help provide additional insights. Our Current Partners Right now, we’re crushing it for one of our partners, and I’m confident we’ll continue delivering exceptional results for them. The other partner is in the process of launching, I’m highly confident in them too. Outside of those two partners I have some consulting deals and coaching that I do. I bring in about $40-50k per month with everything. Our deals are structured as a flat fee per month with a percentage of cash collected. We primarily work with info product/coaching offers - for our current offers, one focuses on men’s marriage and communication skills, while the other is in weightloss. The marriage client was acquired through relationship-building over several years, and the weight loss client came from providing exceptional value when opportunities arose in Facebook groups. Our Team Nick and I complement each other perfectly. I started as a direct response copywriter, while he began as a media buyer. We were both successful separately - him inside a large agency, me freelancing - but we reached a point where we wanted control over the entire process. I was frustrated not controlling traffic; he was frustrated not controlling the funnel. Our partnership was born from our mutual need for complete campaign control. We have a small team of video editors and funnel builders who help us build out the engines, I write everything and handle production, Nick runs the traffic. The Scaling Challenge Here’s where we need your guidance: I want to create more relationships like our best partner, but our current approach isn’t scalable. The traditional networking path - traveling to events, joining expensive masterminds - doesn’t align with who I am or how I work best. I’m a homebody who values efficiency over traditional networking theater. More importantly, these approaches often yield more consulting gigs than true partnerships. The fundamental issue is that we’re having to go to people instead of having people come to us. With existing partners to serve at the highest level, we can’t afford to constantly hunt for new opportunities. We want inbound interest from qualified prospects. The Thought Leadership Dilemma I recognize that in order to generate more inbound, we need stronger thought leadership, but I’ve struggled with this before. When I was creating content on Twitter and YouTube with a Gen Z approach, I attracted beginner marketers instead of the business owners I wanted to partner with. I scaled back my personal brand efforts as a result, but I know we need to establish ourselves as experts in our respective domains. I don’t feel like my strategy or the people I was speaking to was going to yield the partners I know we want. I can connect with mah bros, but when it comes to getting to bigger clients, I struggle and when it comes to shaping a brand, I struggle. Our Positioning and Expertise I named our company Copy and Systems because I believe these are the only two things that truly matter in any campaign. With superior copy and systems, you’ll dominate competitors even if they have better products. Nick’s expertise lies in media buying, data, systems thinking, and problem-solving. My strengths are in messaging, copywriting, talent development, recruiting, and creating systems that convert. We’ve both been honing these skills for six to seven years, and we know this makes us different as most agencies just have junior marketers running their accounts, or they only have systems, or they only have copy, very few combine both successfully. The Strategic Question I can build any system - I’ve literally built every system you could imagine for clients. But this creates paralysis when it comes to our own agency. I can prescribe solutions for others all day, but I struggle with our own client acquisition system. I have a feeling we need to be writing books, creating curriculum, and publishing more content, but without clear direction, it feels like throwing spaghetti at the wall rather than executing a calculated, precise strategy. I’d love to spend our time together developing: * Clear messaging strategy: How do we articulate what Copy and Systems does in a way that attracts the right prospects? * Systematic client acquisition approach: What’s the most efficient path to build our thought leadership and attract both educational buyers and partnership opportunities? * Specific tactical implementation: Rather than broad strokes, I want to walk away with concrete next steps we can execute immediately. I want to continue serving our current partners exceptionally while building a sustainable system that brings qualified opportunities to us. I believe with the right strategy and your guidance, we can create something that leverages our expertise while staying true to how we work best. Looking forward to our discussion and your insights on building this foundation properly. Best regards, Nick Verge & Nick Grippando Copy And Systems
