The Tragedy Of Human Existence

Decoding depictions of Eve in art and pop culture - CNN Style

The story says that we were once perfect.

And then we all know what happened…

The snake told Eve…

“When you eat the apple, you will be like God and know what is good and what is bad.”

And from there, Eve made the decision.

“The woman saw how beautiful the tree was and how good its fruit would be to eat, and she thought how wonderful it would be to become wise. So she took some of the fruit and ate it.”

I think about this so much…

“You will be like god.”

God is the idea of total control, and what that means for us is the ability for us to have free will and make our own decisions.

Everything that’s wrong and right about you, is because of your free will, because of your decisions.

The tragedy of human experience is that we’re allowed to decide what’s right and what’s wrong.

But some of you, myself included, are too smart for your own good.

Internally, your heart is telling you something is wrong…

You KNOW you shouldn't do it…

But the same logic that the snake used on Eve is what you do to yourself.

You say, “That’s not true… here are all the reasons why this decision is right”

You convince yourself that something is right when you know that no matter how you spin it, internally you still feel like shit for doing it.

Think about this…

Lucifer literally translates to “light bringer” and when you dive into esoteric symbology you understand that light is the metaphor for knowledge.

It’s your knowledge, your experiences, your information, and the justifications that you collect which screws you over

Every single time I sparked up that joint, that internal voice was screaming at me…

“PLEASE STOP! You can’t keep fucking numbing yourself! How many times have you said you were going to quit?”

I would justify the hell out of my decision…

It helps me relax…

It helps me sleep…

It makes me so much more creative…

I knew all of these statements were lies!

I kept running from the fact that I was soft, weak, and that this green flower had total control over my life.

A PLANT.

A fucking plant was running my life and controlling my emotions, my decisions, and everything in between.

I kept pushing myself further and further away from the things I knew I should be doing…

To the point where that good voice stopped talking to me altogether for the most part.

I had to hit absolute rock bottom, crying like a child, seeing my life fall apart, feeling like an absolute failure for that voice to come back.

Some people think I’m overexaggerating…

You go achieve all of your dreams and then see that they mean absolutely nothing and have that feeling of worthlessness stabbing you every day in your gut.

Tell me how great you feel looking in the mirror and seeing a total fucking coward staring back at you.

But the truth is that was the only way the story could unfold…

I had to experience that pain for it to make sense for that voice to come back and say, “Grab my hand, I’m getting you out of this mess.”

I saw what listening to that snake did to me, I saw what it did to the people around me, and most importantly I saw how it made me feel internally.

The energy I was projecting to the world was all sorts of messed up because listening to those justifications takes its toll on you.

It’s a silent transaction…

And that silent transaction is the tragedy of human existence.

Most of the time we don’t even realize we’re making it.

Trust me, ditch all of the shit you know you shouldn’t be doing.

Tell me that voice isn’t as clear as day, guiding you in the right direction.

You got this, be strong.

Stop making the justifications.
